The Department of Psychological Science is a dynamic and rapidly growing department in the Norman J. Radow College of Humanities and Social Sciences. The Department has more than 50 full-time and many part-time faculty supporting a major and minor in psychology, including a fully online undergraduate program. The Department is committed to providing a rigorous education that prepares approximately 2,500 majors (Bachelor of Science) and 700 minors for careers and graduate training. The Department strives to create a collaborative and supportive climate for our students, faculty, and staff.

With more than 400 full-time faculty and 8,500 degree-seeking students, the Norman J. Radow College of Humanities and Social Sciences prepares the next generation of leaders in a wide array of fields to meet the challenges of the twenty-first century and become contributing citizens in a global society. The home of three Schools and eight Departments, the College offers more than 80 graduate and undergraduate programs of study in both traditional and interdisciplinary fields. Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a full-time, nine-month, tenure-track Assistant Professor of Psychology (Quantitative Methods) faculty position in the Department of Psychological Science that begins August 2024.

· A demonstrated record of impactful research and teaching excellence for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Quantitative Methods.

· Candidates whose expertise in quantitative methods emphasizes connections to applied psychological research are especially encouraged to apply.

· Faculty on a research-intensive workload (40% teaching; 50% research; 10% service; 2/2 teaching load) nine-month tenure track within the Department of Psychological Science are expected to engage in programmatic research that results in publications in referred journals and has the potential for extramural funding.

· Faculty are expected to teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in their area of specialization, as well as courses that are part of the required core in the psychology major according to departmental needs.

· Supervise and mentor students in collaborative and/or independent research experiences.

· Faculty in the department conduct research in a wide variety of areas and have a strong commitment to undergraduate education and mentorship and to creating inclusive learning environments for students with wide-ranging backgrounds.

· Service to the department, college, university, and/or profession is expected.

Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.

· A doctoral degree in Psychology, or the foreign equivalent, in Quantitative or Mathematical Psychology or a closely related discipline (e.g., PhD in a subfield of Psychology with a specialization in quantitative methods), is required.

· ABD candidates will be considered; the doctoral degree must be earned by the start date.

· The successful applicant will have demonstrated evidence of potential for extramural funding, experience publishing in refereed journals, and documented evidence of teaching excellence.

· Demonstrated effectiveness in teaching courses in areas of expertise and required courses in departmental curriculum (e.g., syllabi, assignments, student evaluations or summaries, peer or self-reviews of teaching)

· Experience supervising students in research experiences.

· Experience with externally funded research projects.

· An active research agenda in advanced quantitative methods.

· The potential for disciplinary or multidisciplinary collaboration.
