    Duties


    • Provides a logistics and supply management program which directly supports forest-wide and/or regional organizations concerned with wild land fire or other emergency activities.
    • Performs a full range of overhaul, maintenance and repair work on a variety of 2 and 4 cycle gasoline engines as well as centrifugal pumps.
    • Operates equipment and makes necessary adjustments after repairs to assure powertrain meets performance specifications as established by the manufacturer.
    • Receives, issues and tracks warehouse supplies and equipment with the aid of large material moving equipment such as fork lifts and cargo trucks. Maintains parts inventory.
    • Uses handheld scan gun device technology as well as an automated inventory database to account for parts and supplies used for incident support or other activities.
    • Skilled and proficient in the use of various technical manuals, parts manuals, troubleshooting guides, illustrations and testing equipment that are used to complete repair procedures.
