Overview:

Infection Control & Staff Development Nurse

Franciscan Village, Lemont, IL

M-F Exempt

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Assist in maintaining the Community and nursing service philosophies, through quality nursing
  • Associate audits/inservice of educational resurces
  • Maintain Infection Control protocls and procedures
  • Administer medication and treatment, complete documentation for residents in their care, in accordance with federal, state, and local standards, regulations, and departmental policies and procedures
  • Maintain IDPH,CDC, and Cook Guidelines accordingly
  • Attend a minimum of 12 annual hours of inservice education
  • Be apart of on call rotation ( 1 every 5/6 weeks)
  • Promote and respect the dignity and wellbeing of each resident and their family

Required skills and qualifications:


  • Graduate from accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred
  • 1 year experience minimuum with Infection Control
  • Two years of clinical experience preferred, but not required
  • Current nursing license for the state of Illinois
  • CPR certified
  • Must enjoy working with the senior population
