Overview:

Infection Control & Staff Development Nurse

Franciscan Village, Lemont, IL

M-F Exempt

Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist in maintaining the Community and nursing service philosophies, through quality nursing
Associate audits/inservice of educational resurces
Maintain Infection Control protocls and procedures
Administer medication and treatment, complete documentation for residents in their care, in accordance with federal, state, and local standards, regulations, and departmental policies and procedures
Maintain IDPH,CDC, and Cook Guidelines accordingly
Attend a minimum of 12 annual hours of inservice education
Be apart of on call rotation ( 1 every 5/6 weeks)
Promote and respect the dignity and wellbeing of each resident and their family

Required skills and qualifications:

Graduate from accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred
1 year experience minimuum with Infection Control
Two years of clinical experience preferred, but not required
Current nursing license for the state of Illinois
CPR certified
Must enjoy working with the senior population
