    **Health Center Assistant Manager**

    Kansas City, MO / Kansas City, MO Metro Health Services / Healthcare Ensures the efficient flow of the clinic operations and provides administrative leadership, and jumps in to support all staff and patient service areas. Responsible for the supervision of day to day clinical operations, supporting high-quality, patient-focused care delivery, which may include abortion services. This position works in coordination with and reports to the Health Center Manager or Administrator.

    ***For the protection of patients, team members and all who enter our facilities, PPGP has made the decision to require COVID-19 vaccination for all team members, unless granted medical or religious exemption, as a condition of employment.***

    ***In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, this and other administrative positions at PPGP are working remotely, when possible. Occasional time in the office may be required for necessary tasks. Returning to the office on a regular basis is evaluated monthly based on public health trends. Masks, temperature checks, social distancing, and signing-in are required when working on-site.*** **Essential Duties and Responsibilities**

    + Oversees all front office business functions, including outstanding customer service delivery, the completion of insurance verification, and manages in-office billing and fee collections.

    + Creates a culture of exceptional customer service by continually exceeding our patients expectations, properly maintaining and cultivating positive relationships with patients, clinicians and fellow employees.

    + Learn all duties of clinic staff and help to cover in the event of PTO or sick time and manage the operations and staff.

    + Monitors health center flow and strives to maximize efficiencies and productivity.

    + Ensures accurate completion of health center records and coordinates documentation.

    + Responds to questions from patients and insurance companies regarding patient visits and billing.

    + Maintains confidentiality of all agency information, employee nonpublic personal information (NPI) and personal health information (PHI), as well as records directly or indirectly identifying person currently or formerly receiving services from PPGP.

    + Leads initiations and implementations of new processes and services including service delivery enhancements.

    + Insures that the Medical Director, Vice President of Health Services, Regional Director of Health Center Operations, and Director of Compliance and Quality Risk Management, and other Medical Management teams as needed, are aware of health center incidents and/or occurrences. Ensures Health Center staff understand and comply with reporting guidelines.

    + Completes monthly chart audits and turns the report in to the Regional Director of Health Center Operations by close of business Friday, the first week of the following month. The report must reflect action plans appropriate for findings and at least 90% compliance must be maintained.

    + Assures staff and company compliance with all local, state and federal laws and regulations relating to care delivery.

    + Achieves clinic goals and objectives including financial, customer service and productivity.

    + Additional responsibilities will be assigned as needed to maintain and improve effective health center functioning and to advance PPGPs mission.

    + **SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:** In the coordination with the Health Center Manager/Administrator, the incumbent will supervise Nurse Practitioners, Nurses, and Reproductive Health Assistants.

    **Qualifications**

    + **Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience.**

    + **1-2 years related experience required.**

    + **1-2 years supervisory/leadership experience in a work, school, or community environment required.**

    + **Ability to work flexible hours, including Saturdays and evenings required.**

    + Supervisory experience in a health or clinical health care settings preferred.

    + Familiarity with medical terminology.

    + Demonstrated ability in leading, motivating, and managing staff, experience with high-volume transaction medical or clinical practice environments in which customer service and satisfaction are priorities.

    + Administrative experience in an Ambulatory Surgical Center or Reproductive Health Services Clinic, hospital or other related clinical setting, and a minimum of one year supervisory experience preferred.

    + **Customer Service Orientation:** Delivers superior patient care. Professionally interacts with clients and patients of different cultures and abilities. Flexible with unexpected priority changes, maintains composure under stress to insure positive patient experiences.

Salary Range - $46,000 - $51,000 annually
