Description

As a Manufacturing Technician, you will join our Spot Production Team to manufacture complex robotic assemblies, identify and debug problems in processes, products, equipment and work for solutions.

To thrive in this role, you must be able to interpret engineering and manufacturing documentation and be willing to take on an ever-changing list of tasks and responsibilities as new needs arise within our robot fleet.

Day to day activities:

  • Assemble complex robotic assemblies in support of the Spot Product Line
  • Collaborate within a team of multidisciplinary engineers and operations team to deliver quality products across the Spot Product Line
  • Perform functions associated with all manufacturing operations, including working with engineers in setup, calibration and troubleshooting tasks, as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the production of parts, components, subassemblies and final assemblies
  • Work from BOM, Work Instructions, Quality Inspection Protocols, and Manufacturing Test Procedures to guide daily activities and ensure the highest standards of product quality
  • Maintain production machines and equipment to ensure the production area is safe to work, productive and has required inventory
  • Identify and debug problems in processes, products, equipment and work for solutions
  • Work within Jira to log, track and document activities and resolution of issues.

Required Skills:


  • Previous experience following technician instructions by interpreting engineering blueprints and technical terms
  • Experience troubleshooting electromechanical assemblies and recommending courses of action
  • Experience in testing finished products for defects, debugging failures, and identifying anomalies, as well as understanding and working with test scripts and command prompts
  • Physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds unassisted

Preferred skills:

  • Ensure full adherence to 6S (Sort, Set In Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain, Safety) practices at all times
  • Inventory parts and tools used in the assembling process
  • Engages interest and participation of others and has a collaborative approach to working together
  • Work independently, reviewed infrequently with mínimal supervision
  • Previous experience utilizing electrical and manual tools, such as soldering irons, desoldering equipment, and solder removal tools
