The PV STEP Intern, under general supervision, will assist the department in which they are hired with daily operations, special projects, and other duties deemed necessary by the supervisor. PVAMU seeks to establish a POOL of qualified applicants for potential employment in the as a PV STEP Intern for the Summer 2024 semester. This position is for a 10-week program (06/10/2024 – 08/16/2024), in which student employees will gain valuable knowledge about a specific work environment, while also receiving quality training. Internships can help confirm a student's choice of major.
This is a non-benefit eligible position, with work available for up to 30 hours per week (hours will vary based on departmental needs).
Responsibilities:
Duties will vary by departmental need, but the duties of a PV STEP Interns are beyond those of typical student worker position, with specific goals and/or projects that are related to the students chosen career path that must be completed by the end of the 10-week employment period.
Students are required to commit to the entire 10-week program, submit required documents to their application, and provide a "Project Summary" at the end of their internship program.
