    About The Role

    The Accounting Manager will plan and direct the accounting activities of the department. Managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department. Monitoring and analyzing accounting data and producing financial reports or statements in a timely manner. Establishing and enforcing proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.


    What You'll Be DoingPrepare monthly agency, center, program financial statementsFinance Committee Financial Statements questions researchPrepare program budget versus actual variance analysis; to meet on a quarterly basis.

    Review and approve journal entriesReview and approve PRGLReview and approve Nutrition claim thru CNIPSReview and approve contracts billing operationsAudit inventory processIn-kind processPrepare month end closing Journal entries and trial balanceConduct Providers Training/Update when neededProviders template maintenanceProject codes balance analysisCDE and CDSS Management BulletinPrepare CSPP and CCTR State quarterly reports in CPARISMonthly project code allocationsPrepare files for agency-wide auditMonthly revenue bridge for fundersHire, train, supervise and evaluate accounting staffPrepare CFS Monthly bookkeeping closingApprove Fixed AssetsGAP EliminatorAll other duties as assigned by supervisors.


    Preferred qualificationsSelf-motivated and able to plan daily workload effectively and efficientlyAn analytical thinker and a team playerExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAble to multitask prioritizes and works accurately while meeting deadlines.

    Demonstrated flexibility to accommodate changing prioritiesExcellent problem-solving skills and a great attention to detail.

    Comfortable and ability to manage high volume of transactions in a fast-paced environmentWilling and able to work extended hours if necessary to meet pressing deadlinesAbility to provide leadership, accept responsibility, work independently, and set own goals in a professional manner.

    Ability to work on a variety of tasks simultaneously and able to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends.

    Supervisory experience required.

    All other duties as assigned by the Supervisor and/or the VP of Finance/CFO/CEO.BA degree in Accounting or related field or equivalent.

    Three years' experience with a full range of accounting and bookkeeping procedures.
    Experience with multi-funded programs is desirable.
    Experience with nonprofit and fund accounting is desirable.
    Ability to work without accounting supervision.
    Ability to maintain confidentiality of client and staff records.
    Computer literate.
    Literate in Excel, Word, and fiscal software.
    Experience with Financial Edge and Center Track software's a plusAbility to supervise a diverse work group

    Compensation

    $132,300-$132,300 USD
