Description
The
Accountant provides financial, administrative, clerical services to ensure accuracy/efficiency of the
operation. This position will process and monitor incoming payments and reconcile invoices statements. The
scope of responsibilities is not limited to items listed below; the position is also responsible for cash
management and works alongside the Chief Financial Officer on financial reporting and unique projects.


Functions:

Process 1099 related payments and end of the year tax processing.
Maintains financial records, such as purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.
Prepare payroll journal entries under supervision
Records day-to-day financial transactions and verify that transactions are accurate.
Reconciles all accounts, reviews inputs for accuracy and prepares periodic reports and journal
entries, as needed.
Maintains all required business documents for operational and tax purposes.
Support the Finance and Accounting Department in budgeting, forecasting, and other related
activities.
Analyze lease agreements in accordance with ASC 842 standards
Provide explanations for variances in financial statements
Vendor reconciliations and other required reconciliations
Research when accounting issues arise
Maintain and update excel schedules for general ledger accounts
Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures.
Collaboration with AP and AR for problem-solving
Aid in the oversight of the operations of the accounting department, including the design of an
Organizational structure is adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives.
Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
Assist and Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the annual audit.
Completes special projects as requested by the CFO.
Additional duties assigned by management.


Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration, or equivalent major
CPA preferred
Experience for minimum 3 full cycle of accounting years
2+ years of QuickBooks experience
Strong Excel skills
NetSuite and QuickBooks experience preferred
Strong understanding of US GAAP accounting principles
Ability to multitask with superior time management skills
Ability to prioritize effectively and drive project completion
Ability to keep department items confidential
Detailed Oriented with meticulous data entry skills
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
