SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
The Development Coordinator works within a team-oriented and fast-paced work environment.

The team is a talented, creative, driven group of people focused on furthering the mission and values of the agency.

An integral member of CSCLA's fundraising team, this position plays a significant role in the strategic development of our donor database and is the primary contact for events and volunteer activities.

The Development Coordinator implements best practices in moves management, focusing on the communication with and cultivation of our constituents, and helps to fulfill the philanthropic goals of the organization.


SPECIFIC DUTIES

  • Oversee the agency's donor Includes but not limited to gift entry and mapping, relationship and household management, constituent and participant maintenance, campaign maintenance, generating donor reports, mailing lists, and gift acknowledgement letters.
  • Execute communications related to donor engagement and stewardship including drafting of acknowledgement letters, messaging third party fundraisers, drafting monthly newsletters, updating the CSCLA website, annual report, and more.
  • Reconcile donations monthly with our Operations Manager. Ensure accuracy of donor information in the database, align donations and campaigns with QuickBooks, and analyze for system and process improvements.
  • Develop and maintain donation pages in Gnosis and GiveSmart for various campaigns and appeals, peertopeer fundraisers, special events, and more. Includes implementation of design and donation elements, integration of PayPal, etc.
  • Develop and implement third party fundraising and community engagement activities in collaboration with the Development Director. Includes but not limited to identifying volunteer activities, securing volunteers for onsite activities and special events, managing volunteer engagement, and representing CSCLA at events.
  • Support the planning and implementation of our annual fundraisers and community engagement events which currently include an Improv Benefit, Annual Gala, virtual Health Equity Summit, and peertopeer Over the Edge event. Includes working with Event Planning Consultant to support event committee members, following up with vendors, prepping venue space and coordinating volunteers among other general event duties.
  • Support the development and activities of the Associate Board, a group of professionals that volunteer to support CSCLA in fundraising and outreach efforts throughout the region. Coordinate with Associate Board members for meetings, onboarding, and execution of fundraising and engagement activities.
  • Implement best practices of moves management, especially focusing on the identification, cultivation, and stewardship of donors and volunteers, which may require interfacing with program team for appropriate interactive guidance and coordination.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A passion for the mission of Cancer Support Community and demonstrated ability to work effectively with colleagues in a missionbased environment
  • Excellent problemsolving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working in databases, preferably in a constituent or donor database
  • Basic graphic design and social media skills, or willingness to learn
  • Associate's degree with two years of fund development, event management, or related experience required. Bachelor's degree from fouryear college or university with fund development and/or event management preferred.

SALARY AND BENEFITS
Salary

Pay Range Depending Upon Experience:
$24 to $29 per hour
