    Description

    Join Our Team as a Patient Service Representative!

    We are looking for a dedicated individual to oversee the administrative duties of our center. As a Patient Service Representative, you will play a key role in ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process for our patients.

    Primary Functions:

    • Provide a courteous and professional working environment.
    • Maintain effective communication with patients, coworkers, and supervisors.
    • Update patient demographics and verify insurance information.
    • Call and remind patients about missing information.
    • Collect payments and post charges to patient accounts.
    • Schedule appointments and assist with patient flow.
    • Operate office equipment and maintain patient records.

    Education and Experience:

    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • Optometry experience is preferred.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • Customer-friendly attitude and good communication skills.
    • Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT codes.
    • Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure.
    • Computer literacy and accurate data entry skills.

    Additional Qualifications:

    • Bilingual in English/Spanish/Creole is a plus.
    • One year of experience in a similar role is preferred.

    Relationship Reporting:

    • Reports to the Center Manager.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to sit and view a computer screen for extended periods.
    • Ability to perform repetitive hand and wrist motions.
    • Ability to lift and move objects up to 25 pounds occasionally.
    • Must have vision abilities and ability to adjust focus.
