Position Summary
The Permit Technician is responsible for submitting for and obtaining building permits from local jurisdictions.

This position will involve travelling across the region to submit permit paperwork and plans in person at the various jurisdictions.


Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Assist the Permit Coordinator and administrators on the permitting process
  • Record and understand technical corrections as it pertains to permitting
  • Work constructively and effectively with various jurisdictions
  • Drop off and pick up of HOA forms
  • Travel 90% of time in company issued vehicle
  • Maintain a clean and acceptable driving record on and off the job.
  • Practice safe driving habits

Qualification Requirements

  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent office and computer skills with Word and Excel
  • Strong attention to detail while producing accurate and highquality work
  • Experience interfacing with municipality electrical and building departments
  • Must possess a Valid driver's license, be 21 or older, and a passable background check
  • Completely tech savvy

Physical demands and abilities

  • Regularly move from sitting to standing positions effortlessly
  • Regularly use hands and fingers to handle, control or feel objects
  • Regularly see details of objects that are less than a few feet away
  • Regularly speak clearly so listeners can understand
  • Regularly understand the speech of another person
  • Regularly Drive
  • Frequently work in on projects that require deadlines
  • Frequently bend to file and maintain files
  • Occasionally lift 510 pounds
