    Description

    SUMMARY
    Ensure the stable operation of the in-house computer software and hardware systems and network connections. This includes planning, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all server and network hardware and communication links.

    The person will also analyze and resolve end user non-network software program and connectivity issues in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end user training where required.

    Other duties or projects, as assigned.


    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

    1. Manage and administrate all operating systems and their corresponding or associatedsoftware.

    • Repair and recover from hardware or software failures.
    Coordinate and communicate with all appropriate parties.

    • Manage and ensure the integrity of host computers, multiple databases and datatransfer.
    • Oversee installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of end userapplications.
    • Distribute and supervise server storage space allotments.
    • Assist in design and implementation disaster recovery plan for operating systems, databases, networks, servers,and software applications.
    • Provide on-call technicalsupport.
    • Assess need for any system reconfigurations (minor or significant) and execute them ifrequired.
    • Conduct research on emerging products, services, protocols, and standards in support of systemsroadmap and development efforts.
    • Develop , implement and maintain procedures and associated training plans for system administration and appropriate use.
    • Administr and manatin end user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
    • Perform system backups.
    • Monitor and test server software performance and provide statistics and reports.
    • Recommend, schedule, and perform software improvements, upgrades, and/or purchases.
    • Provide guidance and support for Tier II.

    Position Requirements

    EDUCATION
    Associates degree in the field of computer science, MIS, CIS, or Information Systems or graduate from an approved Vocational Technical program and/or combination of education & experience


    Preferred certifications in:
    A+; N+, MCSA or MCSE, VCP or NetApp.


    EXPERIENCE
    Working technical knowledge of network, PC, and server platform operating systems, including windows server, windows 7, and apple iOS.
    3-5 years of experience with Windows Active Directory
    3-5 years System Administration in a large scale environment
    3+ years of experience with File servers, patch management, Windows 7 administration
    Extensive application support experience with microsoft products, including exchange server and systems center suite.
    Application support experience with point of sale, property management systems, erp and casino management systems.
    Working technical knowledge of current systems software, protocols, and standards, including TCP/IP etc.
    Hands-on software and hardware troubleshooting experience.


    Gaming License
    Must obtain and maintain a Gaming License.
