- Responsible for the accounts payable and receivables functions from beginning to end
- Process the weekly check and deposit runs
- Daily bank reconciliations
- Assist with organizing tax documents and tracking of tax payments
- Ensure credit card transactions are accounted for and receipts updated through our expense management software system
- Assist in the implementation of a new collections system
- Supervise the billing and collections specialist role
- Provide support to our Payroll Contractor and help define our future Payroll processes
- Support the annual audit process by providing the necessary documentation and details required
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- At least 3-5 years in general ledger accounting with a good understanding of double entry accounting
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams) with advanced Excel skills such as Pivot Tables and VLOOK-UP functions
- Team player with excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and ensuring your work is completed free of errors
- Ability to meet deadlines and complete work in a timely manner
- Possess the ability to work in a fast-ever-changing work environment with a sense of urgency.
