We are looking for our Global Head of Allianz Risk Consulting (ARC) Natural Resources and Construction, to lead the strategy and innovative change for our worldwide teams of risk engineers and consultants specialising in these two lines of business.

The role reports into the Global Head of ARC and can be based in any location.


Your Team


Our Allianz Risk Consulting (ARC) team is made up of experienced engineers from a wide range of technical and scientific disciplines and provides a flexible range of risk consulting services, from natural hazards, fire safety, and human and organizational risk factors to in-depth analysis of industry operations, and financial exposures, across all industry sectors and risks.


The Impact You Will Have


As one of the ARC Global Heads, you will be responsible for providing and then driving through the strategic vision of ARC, and your specific focus will be on Natural Resources & Construction.

Working with our Underwriting teams, you will ensure that ARC deliverables are fully aligned with Underwriting and client needs.


You will deliver our global business objectives, driving improvement throughout the ARC operations, and leading any required change management across ARC globally; you participate very actively in ARC Council Meetings, allocate ARC resources according to strategic decisions and empower the managers reporting into you to take up the challenges with success.


You are also the main spokesperson, a global ambassador and arbitrator for ARC in all business issues for Natural Resources and Construction.


Some of your specific responsibilities could include:

  • Implementing and driving ARC objectives and strategy, achieving strategic goals, and aligning with business functions across the company
  • Delivering agreed global objectives for ARC, optimizing processes to meet our AZ Commercial goals, and implementing cross line of business (LoB) initiatives
  • Initiating and leading necessary changes to align ARC with business goals
  • Empowering ARC LoB managers to tackle challenges, driving innovation, and motivating the team to exceed performance expectations
  • Developing and distributing performance targets, and allocating global ARC resources based on strategic decisions

What You'll Bring to the Role
We are looking for an experienced risk engineer in large corporate insurance, ideally with senior management or strategy-setting experience.

You come with 10 to 15 years' experience in the field, expert knowledge of the technical and commercial business needs and the capacity to inspire our ARC engineers in the Natural Resources and Construction lines of business around the world.


You bring:

  • Exceptional ability to communicate ideas and messages clearly, both in writing and verbally
  • Proficiency to deliver compelling and persuasive presentations to captivate the audience
  • The ability to lead and manage a team, including delegating tasks and guiding team direction
  • A keen interest in new technologies, data use and driving innovation in your team and in the wider ARC community
  • Fluent English and additional languages would be a plus
  • Able and willing to travel both domestically and internationally
