Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the
_GS-09_** grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

  • Developing, adapting and modifying analytical and testing methods to determine organic and inorganic compounds in biological/industrial samples by current "state of the art" techniques involving chromatographic instruments and other pertinent methods;
  • Using established methodology manuals/chemical literature to find an applicable or closely related method and if a method is not found, develops or modifies a method to perform the analysis;
  • Calibrating and operating analytical equipment such as atomic absorption spectrophotometers, ICP spectrometers, FID/ECD gas chromatographs, GC/Mass spectrometers, highpressure liquid chromatographs, and phasecontrast/polarizing microscopes for usage and preventative maintenance care;
