TITLE:
Collections Representative

LOCATION:
Houston, TX

POSITION REPORTS TO:
Collections and Order Entry Manager

SCHEDULE:
Monday through Friday.

8:30 AM to 5:30 PM with 9/80 option of 7:30am to 5:30pm. Some overtime and weekends may be required.

WAGES:
Hourly. Commensurate with experience

RESPONSIBILITIES

Under general supervision, perform the investigation, analysis, and followup for the collection of overdue accounts
Organize, plan, and prioritize responsibilities maximizing accurately and efficiency
Maintain current information in customer files documenting correspondence and process
Correspond with customers and answer questions regarding their accounts, determine reasons for nonpayment, and review credit terms
Review daily orders to be held or released based on credit status
Negotiate payment of past due invoices or payment schedules based on customers' financial situation
Coordinate customer credit changes with the credit department
Document customer financial status for further credit analysis
Establish and maintain good working relationships with customers and other SCR, LLC departments
Other as assigned by manager

BASIC REQUIREMENTS

Must be local (live within 60 miles)
Administrative experience
Exhibit a stable past employment history
Strong work ethic and professional demeanor
Experience using Microsoft Outlook and Excel
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Fast and accurate typing skills
Excellent organizational skills and keen attention to detail
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work well in a team environment
Ability to multitask and prioritize multiple deadlines
Strong, positive, cando attitude
Able to work in a fastpaced environment with shifting priorities

PREFERRED

SAP experience
Prior customer service experience
13 years business to business commercial collections experience
