Department Head (m/f/d) for the Department of Multiphase Flow, Heat and Mass Transfer in the Field of Process Engineering

Full-time (39.2 hours/week), initially limited to 24 months with the possibility of permanent employment

Starting date:
May 25, 2023.

The Leibniz-IWT stands for research in the field of new materials, processes and optimized components. We work interdisciplinary, internationally and in a practical manner.

Our scientific questions range from material creation, such as powder production for additive manufacturing, to the analysis of machined components, such as highly precise gears.

What we need your expertise for:

Personnel, scientific and economic management of the Multiphase Flow department with a focus on numerical modeling and simulation of multiphase flows with heat and mass transfer and chemical reactions
Research on the fundamentals and applications of multiphase flows in atomization, particle technology and thermal process engineering
Acquisition and scientific management of research projects
Expert activities and participation in professional committees (national and international)
Support in teaching and supervision of doctoral students at the University of Bremen
