SALARY:

The salary range for this position is $43,675.04 to $82,662.99 for Schedule A, and $43,675.04 to $74,001.96 for Schedule B.

For newly hired individuals, the starting salary will normally be at the minimum of the salary range.

For current Judiciary employees, salary upon promotion or advancement will be an increase of 5% of base salary, not to exceed the maximum of the range, or the minimum salary of the band/level, whichever is greater.
Judiciary employees hired prior to August 20, 2014, are considered Schedule A.

Newly hired individuals, and Judiciary employees hired on or after August 20, 2014, are considered Schedule B.

The Middlesex Vicinage is seeking dependable, detail-oriented individuals to perform investigatory work including initial case work-up and data entry in support of pre
- and post-dispositional functions, complaints, allegations, enforcement activities, and other court activities. Under the direction of the Court Executive 2B (Division Manager) and other supervisory personnel, the selected individuals will conduct investigations, gather relevant facts pertaining to cases, determine status of complaints in accordance with established procedures or regulations, explain judiciary policies or procedures to clients or customers, investigate clients' personal or criminal history, monitor case flow work, and prepare investigative fact-finding reports.

Other duties include but not limited to participation in team/work unit meetings; providing information to judges, attorneys, or community organizations:

providing cross training to co-workers; reviewing documents submitted to the court for compliance with court rules and approved practices; scheduling meetings, appointments, interviews, and other activities necessary for accomplishing job assignments; verifying authenticity or validity of documents, writing case notes or drafting other case related correspondence; and other duties as assigned.


WHAT IS PROVISIONAL?
**REMOTE WORK**:The Judiciary currently offers a hybrid work schedule, and this position may qualify for up to 2 days of remote work outside of Judiciary buildings. To participate in this program, in addition to installing a multifactor authentication app on your phone or tablet, you will be required to have high speed home internet access.

Qualifications:


  • Two years of paraprofessional experience in casework involving the collection of facts, securing and verifying socioeconomic data, obtaining information by observing conditions, examining records, interviewing individuals, and/or preparing investigative reports of findings.

Substitution:Applicants may substitute semester hour credits from an accredited college or university for the required experience on a year-for-year basis with 30 semester hour credits being equal to one year of experience.
