Description

SUMMARY


Assists Intermediate and Senior Designers in development of design for projects including: documenting client's program requirements, space planning, drawing plans, elevations, 3D views and details, formatting presentations, researching materials, furniture & finish selections.

Management of Design Library and setting up vendor presentations and library updates.


RESPONSIBILITIES
(Include the following, other duties may be assigned)

  • Perform interior design assignments that include programming client needs, conceptual design, 3D modeling/rendering, presentation packages, schematic design, design development, space planning and construction documentation.
  • Participate in the selection of color palettes and lighting.
  • Generate finish plans, specifications, and material selections needed for construction.
  • Provide design support and documentation during completion and execution of design concepts.
  • Develops CAD presentation plans and pricing plans under supervision.
  • Collaborates with other designers, lead designer, job captains, and project managers, as well as external consultants, product representatives, furniture dealers, and fabricators.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from college or university or 13 years' relevant experience and training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient AutoCAD, InDesign, Sketchup, Photoshop, Illustrator, PowerPoint and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong working knowledge of Revit.
  • Strong verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal graphic communication skills.
  • Experience with researching, selecting and specifying materials and finishes.
  • Understand and solve technical problems.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Thrive in a team environment and work well with others, willing to participate in ideation.
  • Strong conceptual design and schematic design skills.
  • Skilled at evaluating options and generating solutions.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
