    Description

    **Transportation Project Engineer**

    RaganSmith, a regional multi-disciplined engineering consulting company based in Nashville, Murfreesboro, and Chattanooga, is seeking a mid-level Transportation Project Engineer in their growing Nashville Office. The candidate will have an opportunity to work on a wide range of transportation projects with private and public clients throughout the state and beyond. The candidate should have a degree in Civil Engineering, an EI or PE registration, 3 to 10 years of engineering experience, and recent experience in roadway design. Experience with TDOT and Municipal projects is desired. Strong communication skills and an attention to detail are required.

    **Minimum Requirements**

    BSCE in Civil Engineering

    Recent experience in transportation design

    Understanding of roadway design guidance from AASHTO

    Experience with TDOT guidelines / procedures / plan preparation

    Strong communication and attention to detail

    Experience in development of roadway plans and specifications

    Must be experienced with either MicroStation/Geopak/OpenRoads and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D

    **Preferred Qualifications**

    Tennessee PE

    Experience with local municipalities and permitting agencies

    Project management experience, including client coordination and team assignments to meet project objectives
