- Lead a team of sourcing professionals to create and implement sourcing strategies supporting a 3-year Supply Chain Strategy, and drive internal, supplier, and cross-functional teams on enhancement projects
- Provide strategic sourcing guidance to Research and Development (R&D), Quality, Marketing, Finance, and Service departments throughout all phases of product development
- Develop and stay current with the contemporary technology used by the supply base to upgrade existing products and potentially integrate into new products
- Devise strategies to procure component parts at the lowest total acquisition cost and enhance Purchase Price Variance (PPV) annually
- Conduct negotiations for Master Supply/Services Agreements, Statements of Work, and Mutual NDAs following relevant laws and regulations, as well as the client's Policies and Procedures
- In collaboration with QA RA Quality Engineering, lead or organize essential supplier business reviews/audits covering commercial, financial, and technical aspects to ensure a robust, capable supply base with excellent performance metrics
- Provide regular updates, reports, and metrics on cost enhancements, VA Contract compliance, and new product development programs to management and purchasing staff; offer sourcing strategy support to guarantee VA Contract sub-contracting compliance
- Assist purchasing teams with Excess and Obsolete (E&O) Inventory, striving to minimize its value
- Solicit quotes from suppliers as required, analyze responses, and provide procurement recommendations to management
- Define and enhance Commodity Roadmaps, managing supplier performance expectations
- TOTAL COMPENSATION = $178,000 - $223,000, comprising:
- Base salary: $150,000 - $180,000
- Annual bonus of around 15% based on company and individual performance
- 401k matching (100% dollar for dollar match up to 4%)
- Educational assistance (up to $9,000 per year)
- Plus relocation package available
- Minimum 8 years of experience in purchasing/supply chain/sourcing
- Minimum 5 years of managerial experience
- Effective communicator and influential leader
- Expertise in all sourcing aspects (contract negotiations, commodity-based materials management, project management, commercial analysis, etc.)
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with an MBA being beneficial
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Preferably hold ISM/APICS certification
- Analytical skills and comprehension of margins, COGS, etc., particularly within industries subject to "FDA 21 CFR Part 820" regulations

Overview:
This position offers expertise in sourcing, commodity, and supply base management to ensure that all aspects of the sourcing process align with the client's quality, production, pricing, and corporate procurement needs. The manager will utilize the client's established practices and processes, along with business and management principles, to drive initiatives in supplier sourcing selection, cost reduction, support for new product sourcing development, Veterans Affairs (VA) Contract compliance, and other related sourcing activities.
This role requires an on-site presence (5 days in the office per week), so candidates must be located in the Puget Sound region or be open to relocating to Washington State upon starting. Assistance with relocation is available for the suitable candidate.
