Senior Supplier Quality Manager NM (Twin Falls, ID) at Chobani in Twin Falls, Idaho, United States Job Description Summary This role contributes to Chobani success by leading a transformation and executing a packaging supplier quality strategy in collaboration with the manufacturing sites and the Procurement team.
The right candidate will be a strong leader, strategist, and collaborator to champion a strong quality, food safety and compliance culture in all our packaging suppliers.
This position is responsible for a wide variety of activities to ensure Chobani's ingredients and packaging material suppliers comply with our quality requirements and all applicable regulations, and to develop programs for continuous improvement and prevention of non-conformances.
Responsibilities In collaboration with Engineering, lead the qualification and continuous improvement of packaging suppliers with the proper validation and verification programs to meet the specifications Conduct on-going supplier capability assessments by on-site visits to verify supplier's performance Manage quality programs, product nonconformance RCA/CAPA, quality reporting and KPIs for all packaging suppliers Manage data analytics and develop and maintain suppliers KPIs to demonstrate improvement and competitiveness over time Review supplier line capabilities and packaging specifications to determine rate of defects and review supplier programs to assure those are not exceeded Work with plant Engineering, Operations and Quality to drive resolution to any observations resulting from supplier non-conformances Provide direction to suppliers to drive continuous improvement on their quality systems based on findings and observations from audit reports, consumer complaints or non-conformances Support Engineering on product improvements and scale up for the launch of new products (line extensions and new lines) for successful product commercialization Assure packaging is safe, analytical methods are in place for new packaging materials, and product quality is as designed Requirements Bachelor's Degree in a science-based field, e.g., Engineering, Food Science Minimum of 5 years of Supplier Quality related experience in the food manufacturing industry Certification in Six Sigma Black or Green Belt or equivalent preferred Supplier Quality Assurance or Process Quality AuditIn short:
