Tools Inc. is an established tool and die, and metal stamping company in Sussex, WI founded in 1954.We partner with our customers providing them with innovative and world-class solutions in single-hit, progressive, transfer and deep draw dies, precision sheet metal stampings, and laser cutting.
We pride ourselves on our quality, timeliness and service.Essential Responsibilities:
- Build progressive, draw, & transfer dies for the metal stamping industry.
- Build welding, inspection, and assembly fixtures per design.
- Ability to read prints and complicated schematics in order to manufacture new tooling, fixtures, and machine parts.
- Mentor apprentice toolmakers and guide them as they work towards becoming a journeyman.
- Must be able to analyze 3D designs and models to be manufactured.
- Collaborate with production teams to troubleshoot and resolve tool and die issues.
- Carefully inspect production tools & dies for any signs of imperfection or damage that may affect their functionality.
- Maintain accurate records of tool and die maintenance and repairs.
- Responsible for performing tests runs on all tools to ensure they function properly and that the finished parts are to print specifications.
- Look for and make suggestions on areas to improve efficiencies within the company.
- Keep work area clean and organized at all time.
- Additionally, this person must maintain a good attendance record, practice safe work habits and follow general safety procedures
Skills, Education and Experience Required:
- Must have 5 years of experience building metal stamping dies.
- Should have computer literacy in CAD Software, preferably SolidWorks.
- Ability to work independently or as a team to accomplish common goals.
- Ability to troubleshoot and suggest solutions to problems.
- Ability to communicate job status and instructions to Teammates and Project Managers.
- Must possess excellent attention to detail.
