    Job Description

    JOB SUMMARY

    The Senior Corporate Attorney offers legal guidance on various corporate and compliance matters such as regulatory, securities, employment, intellectual property, governance, contracts, transactions, real estate, marketing, and litigation. This role reports to the General Counsel and is a hybrid position, working partially in the office.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Conducts legal research and prepares memoranda for the General Counsel and stakeholders
    • Drafts and reviews contracts, regulatory filings, and legal documents
    • Oversees annual report filings, including SEC reports
    • Collaborates with partners on various issues like annual reports, shareholder matters, and more
    • Offers counsel on legislative and regulatory issues
    • Negotiates complex agreements related to consulting, intellectual property, leases, and suppliers
    • Assists in mergers, acquisitions, and strategic transactions
    • Performs other assigned duties

    REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

    • Experience in public corporations, regulatory, or securities
    • Transactional experience in corporate or in-house settings
    • Organized and focused work approach
    • Effective project management with diverse stakeholders
    • Shows initiative and resourcefulness
    • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
    • Clear and concise written and oral communication
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal research tools
    • Property and Casualty Insurance industry experience is a plus

    EDUCATION & TRAINING

    • Juris Doctor (JD) degree required
    • 5+ years of general law practice experience
    • Member of the Florida Bar in good standing
