Akira Technologies is seeking a Configuration Manager to help support our government client in modernizing their enterprise information technology services, which is vital to deploying their mission in disaster and relief programs.


Responsibilities:


  • Lead and oversee configuration management processes for software, hardware, and systems. Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to establish and maintain configuration management standards.
  • Establish and maintain change control processes, including documentation, reviews, and approvals. Collaborate with development and operations teams to manage and track changes in IDM configurations.
  • Lead the planning and execution of software releases, coordinating with development, testing, and deployment teams. Implement version control and release strategies for IDM components.
  • Work closely with IDM architects and engineers to understand configuration requirements. Collaborate with IDM teams to implement and validate changes to configurations.
  • Maintain accurate and uptodate configuration documentation, including configuration baselines and version control. Support internal and external audits related to IDM configurations.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Configuration Manager, with a minimum of 5 years of handson experience.
  • Specific experience in managing continuity of products, releases, configuring and managing Identity Management (IDM) solutions and components. Familiarity with government security standards and compliance requirements. Knowledge of configuration management tools and practices.
  • Effective communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
  • Experience working in government contracting or familiarity with government processes is a plus.
  • Experience working with government systems (i.e., SharePoint) and stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail, time management, and follow through.
  • Ability to adapt and operate effectively in ambiguous or rapidly changing environments.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments.
  • Working knowledge and experience of MS Office (e.g. MS PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Excel).
  • This is a US government contract and therefore US Citizenship is required.
