- Supervise and plan for maintenance activities and projects

- Ability to interpret blueprints, engineering drawings and Unigraphics
- Knowledge of basic math, geometry and trigonometry
- High level of analytical ability where problems are complex
- Knowledge of mechanical concepts
- Appropriate interpersonal styles and communication methods to work effectively with business partners to meet mutual goals required, motivate employees and elicit work output

This role is categorized as onsite. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to the Pontiac Metal Center Plant on a full-time basis.
The Role:
Pontiac Metal Center is the lead stamping site supporting GM's vision of ZERO crashes, ZERO emissions, and ZERO congestion. All major sheet metal stamping provided to Factory Zero (Hummer EV, Origin EV & Silverado EV) and Orion Assembly (Bolt EV, Bolt EUV).
The Tool & Die Group Leader will lead day to day decision making and supervision of hourly Die room employees which work which involves the repair and maintenance of Sheet Metal Stamping Dies and equipment. Work will involve complex manufacturing problems including the need to root cause and follow issues to resolution - as well as sharing and using lessons learned from peer groups. This role requires the ability to use independent discernment. Work is of a technical nature using independent judgment within the limits of GMS, focusing on Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness, Cost, and Environment (SPQRCE).
