Job Summary:


As a Full Time Activity Assistant at Lantern Crest Senior Living in Santee, California, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of our residents in our Assisted Living and Memory Care community.

This is a full-time, hourly position that requires a passion for customer service, creativity, and a positive attitude.

In this individual contributor role, you will work closely with our Activities Director to plan and coordinate engaging and meaningful activities for our residents.

Responsibilities:


  • Assist the Activities Director in planning and implementing a diverse and engaging calendar of activities for residents in Assisted Living and Memory Care
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure activities meet the physical, social, and emotional needs of our residents
  • Prepare and set up activity areas, ensuring they are clean, safe and inviting
  • Provide handson assistance to residents during activities, as needed
  • Maintain accurate records of resident participation in activities
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, and staff
  • Communicate effectively with residents and explain activities in a clear and enthusiastic manner
  • Seek out resident suggestions and feedback for activity ideas
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and safety regulations

Requirements:


  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience working with seniors in a healthcare or activityrelated setting preferred
  • Strong customer service skills and a passion for working with seniors
  • Creative and enthusiastic with the ability to engage and motivate others
  • Strong organizational and timemanagement skills
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings as needed
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must pass a background check and drug screening
