Our Purpose


The Ashford team is growing, and we are looking for our next Ashfordian As an IT Technician in Property Management at Ashford Communities, your role will ensure the standardization and continuous improvement of the IT infrastructure across our portfolio of properties.

The primary goals of this position are to standardize the IT systems, enhance efficiency, and provide reliable IT support to all staff members while building and maintaining an accurate inventory of hardware and software assets.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Current year

  • Learn and understand the company's IT infrastructure and systems.
  • Provide technical support to employees for hardware and software issues.
  • Maintain and own company software list.
  • Assisting in the maintenance and troubleshooting of network and phone issues.
  • Assisting in the maintenance and troubleshooting of RealPage/Entrata issues.
  • Participate in the implementation and maintenance of security protocols.
  • Lead the way in documenting IT procedures and processes.
  • Build and maintain good relationships with employees and current/potential vendors.
  • Work on RealPage/Entrata standardization.
  • Assist with the transition from RealPage to Entrata.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Longer term

  • Standardize IT infrastructure across all properties.
  • Continuously improve IT infrastructure.
  • Continuously improve technical skills.
  • Create and maintain an accurate inventory of hardware and software assets.

Requirements:


  • A minimum of an Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required. Two years of relevant work experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
  • A minimum of two years experience in IT support roles.
  • Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) are recommended but not essential.

  • Proficiency in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems and common productivity software like MS Office.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration.
  • Basic understanding of network configuration, including LAN, WAN, and Wi-Fi setups.
  • Familiarity with mobile devices and other tech products.
