Room Attendant
Department:Housekeeping
Reports To:Director of Housekeeping
FLSA Status:Non-Exempt
Pay: $ $26.00/ hour

Position Summary

  • The Room Attendant will efficiently maintain the guest rooms and public areas of the hotel. The job duties require style and service attributes that are key to creating a positive guest experience.
    Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Deliver excellent customer service in an efficient manner
  • Make beds and clean rooms according to standards set forth by managers/supervisors
  • Replenish supplies such as pens, pencils, stationary and compendium items
  • Clean lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators and stairways
  • Sweep, scrub, wax, polish floor, dust furniture and vacuum carpet
  • Wash walls, ceiling, and woodwork along with windows, door panels and sills
  • Empty wastebaskets, and empty and clean ashtrays; wipe down bathroom surfaces, clean/disinfect bathrooms, replace towels and replenish bathroom supplies
  • Adhere to the daily focus item (Daily Project) along with DND (Do Not Disturb), and Due Out processes and procedures
  • Maintains daily goal of completing 16 credits worth of cleaned rooms
  • Properly maintain cleanliness and organization of rollaway beds
  • Develop and maintain positive communication and teamwork with all coworkers and supervisors
  • Communicate efficiently all guest service issues with manager/supervisor in an immediate and professional manner
  • Use proper etiquette and language in all interactions with guests
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Work Experience

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous hospitality experience preferred
