The hospital is part of the House of Maximum Care and Emergency Care with a capacity of around 900 beds.

The Academic Teaching Hospital consists of more than 20 clinics and facilities, with the Department of Anesthesiology and Operative Intensive Care being one of them.

The team of the anesthesiology clinic consists of around 40 doctors and more than 80 nurses, who work interdisciplinary with other medical specialty clinics.

Approximately 25 treatment places are offered, including 20 ventilation places under the direction of the clinic director. Therapies for perioperative respiration and pain are carried out on an inpatient basis. All common general and regional anesthesia procedures are performed.

All patients are cared for after anesthesia in the recovery room, on the ward or in the intensive care unit.
