Long term contract opportunities based out of our Grand Rapids, MI office. This role can be remote.

COMPANY DESCRIPTION
***The Labeling Specialist will primarily be responsible for the direct support of all product packaging, labeling and IFU preparation and implementation, working in conjunction with Marketing, Regulatory Affairs, Engineering, and the Quality Assurance Departments.


POSITION QUALIFICATIONS


The specific minimum competencies needed to perform the essential duties of the job include knowledge, skills, abilities, level of education, and experience necessary for successful performance.

These competencies are generally demonstrated through specific service, education, or training.


Knowledge:

The Labeling Specialist will have basic knowledge of two
- and three-dimensional design practices, effective use of typography, use of color and preparing/assembling electronic design files for print production.


Level of Experience:


  • A minimum of 2 years working in graphic design and/or packaging and labeling is preferred.
  • Experience with barcoding and UDI compliance is ideal but not required.

Level of Education:


The Labeling Specialist will have completed at minimum an Associate Degree in either Graphic Design, Business, Quality Control, or related field of study.


Travel:

No travel is required or expected for the Labeling Specialist.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The core tasks, duties, and responsibilities that must be performed on the job.

  • Design and prepare all digital product packaging artwork, barcode labeling and IFU inserts, working within software programs to include Bartender and Loftware.
  • Complete artwork according to SunMed brand guidelines, labeling guidelines and regulatory requirements
  • Complete labeling projects within established labeling protocol and deadlines
  • Issue and manage change orders within the eQMS system.
  • Complete all associated document control requirements.
  • Collect and organize product packaging references for archival and reference purposes.
  • Clearly communicate project status, timelines, and risks.
