Job Description:
- Review Owner RFQ's for revenue and margin potential; recommend to Executive Management for approval prior to bid.
- Collect all drawings, specifications, and available job information for potential projects.
- Ensure a thorough understanding of the scope of work, project timing, budgetary constraints, and jobsite conditions.
- Attend all necessary job walks and prebid meetings.
- Communicate with customers regarding specifications and expectations.
- Create accurate and timely takeoffs using OnScreen Takeoff, Destiny Estimator, Bluebeam, etc.
- Utilize cuttingedge estimating software and technologies to enhance accuracy and efficiency in cost estimates. Stays abreast of advancements in estimating technologies to ensure the company remains competitive and efficient.
- Solicit estimates from subcontractors for work that is not selfperformed.
- Skilled in negotiation with a strategic approach to securing the best pricing from subcontractors and vendors while maintaining quality and project requirements.
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate bid specifications, drawings, and technical documents. Ability to perform complex calculations and analyses to ensure accurate and competitive bids.
- Review job information to verify estimate accuracy and ensure profitability estimate is within corporate guidelines.
- Prepare accurate project pricing breakdown.
- Maintain the proposed project schedule.
- Manage profiles and proposals from projected subcontractors.
- Produces statement of qualification and capability.
- Provides profiles of the project management team.
- Ensures that the client thoroughly understands all aspects of the proposal.
- Creates the opportunity to negotiate or present options to maintain a competitive position in the bidding field.
- Develop an understanding of why unsuccessful bids were not accepted.
- Ensures that all bids prepared provide adequate profit potential by targeted margin goals
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience delivering projects from $1 million to $10+ million
- Significant local experience in the Los Angeles, Orange County, Riverside, Ventura, and San Diego Areas
- Proficient with Destiny Estimator, Destiny Bid Day, BuildingConnected, Revu Bluebeam, Adobe, Microsoft Suite, Microsoft and other constructionrelated software.
- Knowledge of sustainable construction materials, methods, and practices. Ability to integrate these into project estimates to meet or exceed environmental and sustainability goals.
- Ability to adapt to changing market conditions, project requirements, and technological advancements. Flexibility to adjust estimates and strategies as needed to remain competitive and efficient.
- Competent in scheduling and scheduling software (Microsoft Project or Primavera P6)
- Exceptional presentation and communication skills
- Ability to lead a team
- Excels at customer relations
- Excellent financial forecasting and reporting abilities
- Consistent, uncompromising commitment to delivering quality work
- Engineering, Construction Management, or Architectural Degree, or equivalent experience

Pay:
$85, $105,000.00 per year
