Accounting Specialist

Summary of Responsibilities:


Non-Degreed accountant (does not need to be a degreed accountant for what we need) - this role is a position which is cross functional.

Will be the Accounts payable processor. IRS matching. Vendor document management. Will do monthly account reconciliations. Will do recurring monthly journal entries.


Job Description:

An Accounting Specialist will be a key role within the accounting team.

This position will be a cross functional role that will focus on accounts payable and extend into account reconciliations and monthly recurring journal entries.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Accounts Payable:
  • Routing (vendor) invoices for approval
  • Gather and process new vendor documentation for approval
  • Set up new vendors in ERP
  • NetSuite
  • Prepare weekly pay files
  • Send pay files to the bank
  • Reconcile/Audit Vendor Statements
  • Other Payable duties as needed
  • General Accounting
  • Prepare monthly account reconciliations
  • Prepare and post monthly recurring journal entries
  • Assist with Annual Audit schedules
  • Assist with general accounting projects and analysis as assigned

Qualifications:


  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • General understanding of accounts payable processing
  • General understanding of IRS FEIN matching process
  • Deadline driven with good time management skills
  • Strong excel skills
  • Experience with NetSuite a plus

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • 35 years relative experience minimum
  • Ability to work in the US without sponsorship

Level:
You will have to determine this - that graphic is too much

Location:
does not have to be within the area of one of our offices - can be fully remote

Travel:
TBD - I don't see this person travelling unless we have a team meeting that requires travel to one location rarely
