Description

Monarch Liquor, an independent liquor store with locations on East MLK and Lakeway, is looking for a dynamic and friendly sales associate & delivery driver to add to our team with potential future opportunities to grow with the company.

Prior retail, wine, beer, and liquor sales experience will be given first preference. Any bar, service industry, brand ambassador experience, or retail sales will be beneficial for this position.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide and deliver responsible alcohol service in accordance with TABC policies, local and state laws, including identification verification and intoxication prevention
• Ability to deliver friendly and excellent customer service, identify customers' needs, and sell proactively with integrity
• Assist in all aspects of store operations such as conducting accurate transactions through POS system, maintain store cleanliness, stocking, fronting products, and providing customer service
• Coordinate with coworkers and management to provide excellent sales service to ensure the smooth operation of the store across shifts and the business day
• Contribute to a lively, positive, enthusiastic, and inclusive work environment and customer experience
• Ability to perform open or close store duties responsibly and effectively
• Communicate with coworkers and management to identify and resolve inventory discrepancies
• Fulfill delivery orders for doortodoor and businesstobusiness operations by verifying orders, pulling inventory, and driving to customer location
• Merchandise products and develop knowledge of inventories
• Fulfill delivery orders: Interact with customers online and over the phone, and drive company cars to deliver goods

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 21 years of age or older
• Active Drivers' Licence
• Ability to perform physical requirements stand/walk, reach, bend, stoop frequently and lift as much as 50 lbs across the duration of the shift
• Confident and comfortable engaging customers to deliver quality service and experience
• Prior experience and exemplary interpersonal skills with the ability to work and communicate effectively with coworkers and management in a team effort
• Ability to use technology and software relevant to the position and access information necessary to complete daily routine tasks
• Desire to build retail sales skills and product knowledge
• Ability to execute established procedures and complete tasks or activities with little or no supervision
• Effective in promoting sales, merchandising and/or marketing products
• Basic accounting skills

From $15.00 per hour


Shift:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Evening shift

Weekly day range:

• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed

Experience:

- customer service: 1 year (preferred)
- liquor, wine, or beer: 1 year (preferred)

• Driver's License (required)
