Monday - Friday, 8:
00 AM - 5:
00 PM


Overview of Your Role
Summer Camp operates from July 8-Aug 30 (8 weeks). Camp includes outdoor fun at the Albany Clubhouse, Lawson Lake Park and Lincoln Park Spray Pads.


KEY ROLES (Essential Job Responsibilities):


  • Program Delivery_
  • Deliver Boys and Girls Club programs to club members in a fun and engaging manner.
  • Receive lesson plans from Site Director and implement them during enrichment activity time.
  • Maintain open lines of communication with other Youth Development Professionals, Site Coordinators, and club members.
  • Leadership and Supervision_
  • Oversee, support, and manage club members during program hours.
  • Participate in periodical staff meetings and training as required.
  • Codeliver enrichment activities and programs with Youth Specialists.
  • Risk Management and Maintenance_
  • Ensure program areas are in compliance by understanding and implementing BGCCA and school district regulations for School Age-Child Care.
  • Assist in maintaining inventories of all program equipment and supplies; ensure all related supplies and equipment are maintained in good order (cleanliness and upkeep of Program Area after usage).
  • Health and Saftey_
  • Ensure the health and safety of students and staff by making program areas safe, posting evacuation and emergency procedures, and making first aid kits accessible.
  • Conduct daily club member health checks and file incident reports to Site Director.
  • Complete Foundations in Health & Safety training and Mandated Reporter training.

Requirements:


QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILLS:


  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Group leadership skills, including an understanding of group dynamics.
  • Principles related to the development of youth between 413 years of age

REQUIRED:


  • One (1) year of professional experience working with youth between 412 years of age or;
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Physical and PPD Test required
  • CPR and First Aid certification preferred
  • Successful Background Clearance
  • Possession of a valid photo ID

Physical Requirements:


  • This job may require extended periods of standing, walking, and engaging in physical activities with children. The ability to lift up to 25 pounds may also be necessary._
