Your Role and Impact:


Are you eager to kickstart your career in the nonprofit sector? ALTSO is searching for a passionate, dynamic individual who is ready to dive into the role of Development and Administrative Assistant, particularly in the areas of development, research, and fundraising.


The Development & Administrative Assistant will provide administrative support to the organization's team, reporting directly to the Marketing Manager and Operations Director.

As part of our team, you will have the unique opportunity to contribute across multiple departments in an array of functions and learn about nonprofit operations, fundraising, marketing, and more.


Key Responsibilities:


Provide comprehensive administrative support in operations, event planning, and marketing with a strong focus on development research, ensuring efficient and effective support across various departments.

Key job responsibilities include but are not limited to:


  • Performing inoffice administrative tasks including mail processing, bank deposits, and records organization.
  • Providing administrative support in areas such as database upkeep, google suite management, and donor correspondence.
  • Assisting regularly with development research activities for fundraising opportunities and potential partnerships.
  • Contributing to marketing efforts, particularly in content creation and social media strategy.
  • Providing comprehensive logistics support in event and campaign planning, encompassing a wide range of activities to ensure seamless execution and coordination.
  • Engaging in special projects and initiatives with each member of the team.

Requirements:


  • Excellent organizational and administrative skills.
  • Ability to conduct thorough research and present findings effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with various departments and external parties.
  • Adaptability and eagerness to learn in a dynamic, fastpaced environment.
  • While not required, experience with any of the following platforms is a plus: Salesforce, Hubspot, Google Suite, Fundraise Up, Double the Donation, SheetGo.

Performance Expectations:


  • Timely and accurate completion of assigned projects and tasks.
  • Proactive engagement in research and development efforts.
  • Effective and timely collaboration and communication within and across teams.
  • Desire for continuous learning and growth in the position.

Compensation:
$20/hr, 40 hours/week


Additional Benefits:

Local travel reimbursement, access to medical, dental, and vision benefits one calendar year after start date with employer contribution.
