We are looking for a new TEAM member to fill our Front Desk/Medical Assistant position in our growing midwifery practice.
Nativiti Family Birth Center and Women's Health Associates is a midwifery owned and operated free-standing birth center providing personalized care for women's health, pregnancy and birth.

Summary/Objective
In keeping with our organization's goal of providing personalized care to the clients we serve, the Front Desk/Medical Assistant exemplifies the company's values and is the first impression of our business when current or potential clients enter the building or call the facility.
The Front Desk/Medical Assistant works directly under the Administrator and assists the Administrator in administrative tasks as well as assisting with lab draws when needed.
Job Duties
- Greeting individuals as they walk through the door
- Answering phones
- Scheduling appointments for clients over the phone and after visits
- Performing administrative tasks as assigned by administrator
- Interacting with clients in a manner that displays warmth, respect, and promotes a caring environment
- Complying with all policies and procedures
- Communicating and interacting respectfully with coworkers, staff, and supervisors
- Attending and participating in departmental meetings and inservices as directed
- Maintaining knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local rules and regulations relating to responsibilities
- Ensuring that all responsibilities are performed consistent with all applicable federal, state, and local rules and regulations as well as facility policies and procedures
Supervisory Responsibility
There are no supervisory responsibilities for this position.
Required Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED
- Strong computer literacy skills (Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office, Internet)
- Must be proficient in using computers and general office machines, including telephone system, copier/fax machine
- Applicants with Medical Assistant and/or phlebotomy training will have first consideration.
Required Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrate leadership, organizational skills, and ability to maintain a positive and professional attitude
- Ability to work well under pressure, meet deadlines, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Display attention to detail
- Ability to interact with clients, families, and the community in a professional manner
Pay:
$ $16.00 per hour
