LRE has an immediate opportunity for a
Controller to join our growing team in San Rafael, CA or Roseville, CA.

Responsibilities Include

• Oversee all divisional accounting and accounts payable functions
• Oversee and manage divisional accounting staff (future)
• Provide divisional and corporate management with timely monthend / quarterend / yearend reporting and analysis
• Provide assistance with project budgeting and variance analysis
• Preparation of annual business plans and quarterly updates
• Involvement in the divisional budget process
• Provide input on divisional opportunities to senior management and assist with review and monitoring of related agreements
• Ensure divisions are in compliance with internal corporate policies and procedures
• As a real estate analyst, you will research trends and statistics in the real estate market and make recommendations for investment opportunities.
• Research information regarding a geographic market
• Research information regarding the tax structure of a municipality
• Research the past rent trends within a market
• Try to forecast future rent growth for an asset class
• Gather necessary due diligence materials
• Create investment memorandums or deal summaries
• Input data and calculate size into a financial model
• Make assumptions about the future outlook of a given market

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Accounting
• 5+ years professional handson accounting experience, including supervisory experience.
• Accounting experience with developments a plus
• Strong working knowledge of GAAP
• Strong working knowledge of Excel
• Excellent writing skills
• Strong interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills
