Job Overview:
We are seeking an energetic, creative and dedicated Lead Teacher to join our team. As a Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for creating and implementing educational programs for children.
You will work closely with a team of teachers to provide a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development of each child.
Duties:
- Develop and implement ageappropriate lesson plans and curriculum
- Provide a safe and supportive learning environment
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff
- Conduct assessments to track the progress of each child
- Collaborate with other teachers to plan and coordinate activities
- Utilize behavior management techniques to promote positive behavior
- Incorporate literacy education into daily activities
- Provide guidance and support to assistant teachers
Requirements:
- DCF 45 hrs and CDA.
- Previous experience working with children in a preschool or daycare setting
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices
- Familiarity with special education strategies and techniques
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively manage a classroom and maintain discipline
- Physical fitness to engage in physical education activities with children
- Team player
- Understanding of child welfare guidelines and regulations
- Very organized, clean, and clutter free.
Pay:
$14.00
Experience:
- Teaching: 1 year (preferred)
Language:
- English (required)
License/Certification:
- Child Development Associate Certification (required)
- VPK Endorsement
Duties:
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards
- Utilize various teaching methods and techniques to engage students in the learning process
- Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a cohesive educational experience
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student growth and development
- Utilize early intervention strategies to address any learning or behavioral challenges
- Incorporate physical education activities into the curriculum to promote healthy lifestyles
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate students with special needs or learning disabilities
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
- Valid teaching certification/license
- Proven experience working with students in an educational setting
- Strong knowledge of curriculum development and instructional strategies
- Familiarity with early childhood development principles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively manage a classroom and maintain discipline
- Passion for educating and inspiring students
Pay:
$14.00
