Job Overview:
We are seeking an energetic, creative and dedicated Lead Teacher to join our team. As a Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for creating and implementing educational programs for children.

You will work closely with a team of teachers to provide a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development of each child.


Duties:


  • Develop and implement ageappropriate lesson plans and curriculum
  • Provide a safe and supportive learning environment
  • Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff
  • Conduct assessments to track the progress of each child
  • Collaborate with other teachers to plan and coordinate activities
  • Utilize behavior management techniques to promote positive behavior
  • Incorporate literacy education into daily activities
  • Provide guidance and support to assistant teachers

Requirements:


  • DCF 45 hrs and CDA.
  • Previous experience working with children in a preschool or daycare setting
  • Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices
  • Familiarity with special education strategies and techniques
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to effectively manage a classroom and maintain discipline
  • Physical fitness to engage in physical education activities with children
  • Team player
  • Understanding of child welfare guidelines and regulations
  • Very organized, clean, and clutter free.

Pay:
$14.00


Experience:


  • Teaching: 1 year (preferred)

Language:


  • English (required)

License/Certification:

  • Child Development Associate Certification (required)
  • VPK Endorsement

Duties:


  • Develop and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards
  • Utilize various teaching methods and techniques to engage students in the learning process
  • Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a cohesive educational experience
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student growth and development
  • Utilize early intervention strategies to address any learning or behavioral challenges
  • Incorporate physical education activities into the curriculum to promote healthy lifestyles
  • Adapt teaching methods to accommodate students with special needs or learning disabilities

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
  • Valid teaching certification/license
  • Proven experience working with students in an educational setting
  • Strong knowledge of curriculum development and instructional strategies
  • Familiarity with early childhood development principles
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to effectively manage a classroom and maintain discipline
  • Passion for educating and inspiring students

Pay:
$14.00
per hour
