Job Purpose


Perform tasks for the TDCJ Residential program, including clerical, administrative, data management, and other tasks related to program support to ensure efficient program operations and contract compliance.


Job Description:


  • Submit the Daily Activity Report (DAR) by 9:00 am. each weekday.
  • Update Residential Census Calendar and Residential Census Google spreadsheet.
  • Enter new client admissions in BVCASA's client management system, SecurManage, from the Trip List.
  • Prepare ID badges in SecurManage for new arrivals.
  • Perform data entry tasks for compliance with American Correctional Association (ACA) accreditation standards.
  • Assist management with preparation for audits by the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Health and Human Services Commission, the American Correctional Association, and Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) auditors.
  • Submit Food Bank Report monthly
  • Distribute client mail and oversee the mail room to ensure security of mail, proper logging, and distribution to clients.
  • Collect Employment Verification Forms along with client pay check stubs.
  • Enter 25% fees in the state client management system, AMS, and attach check stubs in AMS.
  • Maintain Employment Verification Form roster roster for Parole and Probation clients.
  • Update Employment Verification Form roster daily once the DAR is submitted.
  • Monitor Employment Verification Form to make sure all Parole clients are paying their 25%.
  • Enter UA and PREA dates on Employment Verification Form for new arrivals.
  • Update Employment Verification Form when UA dates are completed in SecurManage.
  • Work closely with management in the residential program and finance department on daily tasks.
  • Maintain client confidentiality in accordance with Federal Confidentiality laws and BVCASA policies and procedures.
  • Complete all required training in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all correspondence and reports are completed in a timely manner and that reports are complete and accurate.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the TDCJ Program Director, Finance Director, or Executive Director.
Qualifications, Skills, and Requirements


_ Qualifications_
High School Diploma required, plus two years' experience in accounting or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with QuickBooks preferred.

Preferred Skills_**Must have skills in written and verbal communication, organization, and maintaining files. Professionalism and ability to maintain strict confidentiality required.

Must be detail oriented, have problem solving skills, and the ability to work independently, as well as in a team.

Must have extensive knowledge and skills working with computer spreadsheets and databases; intermediate to advanced level skill in Microsoft Excel required.

Knowledge of accounting practices preferred.

Other Requirements

Must have reliable transportation.
