This position will work a hybrid schedule which includes a combination of working both onsite on Campus and remote.

DESCRIPTION:

Under supervision, the Staff Research Associate supports clinical research efforts on multiple ongoing projects within the Department of Psychiatry. The projects leverage existing data from a multi-site, longitudinal cohort of adolescents followed from late childhood to young adulthood.


Duties will include:

maintaining logs of project activities; coordinating communication among investigators; conducting literature searches; preparing simple reports summarizing data; collating results from investigator-specified statistical models; and assisting in the preparation of scientific publications.

The Associate will perform general lab assistance as needed.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Theoretical knowledge of psychiatry, psychology, or related field and previous research experience in the related field.
  • Experience performing research duties in a clinical research environment and coordinating research studies.
  • Proven ability to work with mínimal direction (work under supervision but not close technical supervision) and work collaboratively with the research team and investigators.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills and ability to work in a changing, multipledemand setting in order to prioritize a large volume of work and meet deadlines efficiently and accurately.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in using software to manage or manipulate data (Microsoft Excel, SPSS, SAS, R, Python).
  • Working knowledge of longitudinal research design and methodology and DSM-IV/V criteria.
  • Experience using a reference manager (Zotero, Mendeley, EndNote).
  • Experience collating the results of supervisorspecified statistical models for review.
  • Experience proofreading and doublechecking statistical estimates reported in manuscripts before publication.
  • Ability to assist in the preparation of manuscripts through gathering information, writing delimited sections, and coordinating edits/feedback from multiple authors.
  • Ability to assist with grant progress reports by providing study status and enrollment data.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Familiarity with IRB procedures and ability to respond to IRB requests.
  • Familiarity with NIH grant progress reports.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS:


  • Work may be completed remote, conditional on approval of the supervisor.
  • Must be flexible and work evenings and weekends as needed.

Annual Full Pay Range:
$53,766 - $64,143 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)


Hourly Equivalent:
$ $30.72

The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position.

The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
