SUMMARY


The Social Media Coordinator will execute the New England Revolutions social media strategy with the goal of maximizing our reach and growth of our overall audiences in an effort to entertain, engage and inform our fan base.

The social media coordinator will post on Revolution affiliated accounts and maintain brand voice in all posts and messaging.

The social media coordinator will monitor brand mentions and maintain a positive dialogue with fans and will elevate any messaging of a sensitive nature to the appropriate department to maintain organizational consistency.

The social media coordinator with serve as a gatekeeper for all content posted and will help promote internal initiatives, partnership activations and all photos, graphics and videos.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


Create copy for all social media posts on all social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram (Feed, Stories and Reels), TikTok and YouTube, and coordinate any approvals with the Social Media Manager.


  • Collect iPhone content at Revolution matches, in the community, and at training and events.
  • Serve as a gatekeeper for content that appears on Revolution social channels, watching and reading all content to ensure it fits sponsorship requirements and is up to brand standards to be shared.
  • Manipulate graphics templates in Photoshop, use Premiere Rush for quick editing projects to ensure content is properly cut, watermarked or end slated and use various mobile apps to add graphic overlays before posting content.
  • Collaborate with other departments throughout the organization for an integrated social media effort and to help leverage the Revolution accounts to promote internal initiatives, including fan engagement, sponsorship, marketing and community.
  • Manage the Revolution social media calendar, including sponsorship fulfilment and fan promotions, track birthdays and milestones and brainstorm campaigns for tent pole events and slower times in the schedule.
  • Tag back end content and run reports to track performance for sponsorship and content creation purposes.
  • Work with team staff to coordinate player transaction announcements and set player availability schedule for content creation.
  • Work closely with digital team to request and approve static and motion graphics.
  • Monitor and present relevant data, trends, successes, failures, etc.
  • Brainstorm content ideas for social activations in addition to organizational projects.
  • Special projects and assignments as business dictates

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors degree or higher
  • One to three years of corporate or brand representation experience across all social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, YouTube and TikTok
  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Exemplary written communication skills
  • High level editing/proofreading skills
  • Attentiveness to detail
  • Creative, highly motivated individual
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency with Photoshop and the Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience using a camera and shooting photos
  • Knowledge of Major League Soccer and the New England Revolution, as well as the Boston sports scene
