    Description


    The Senior Scrum Master is responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective implementation of Agile methodologies and the Scrum framework within software development teams.

    They guide and coach the team, ensure team adherence to Agile principles, and facilitate collaboration among team members, stakeholders, and external parties.

    The incumbent is responsible for the day-to-day facilitation of the Scrum process, while mitigating risks and resolving roadblocks as they arise.

    The Scrum Master plays a pivotal role in enabling the team to deliver high-quality, valuable software products on time and within budget, allowing the organization to achieve its goals and enhance user experience.

    Facilitate Scrum events, including Sprint planning, daily stand-ups, Sprint reviews, and retrospectivesEnsure the team adheres to Agile principles and the Scrum frameworkGuide and coach the team, Product Owner, and organization on Scrum practices and valuesRemove impediments to the team's progress, allowing them to solely focus on delivering high-quality software as much as possiblePromote communication and collaboration among team members and stakeholders to ensure alignment in process and deliveryHelp the team understand and apply key principles of Agile methodologies and the Scrum framework, such as self-organization and cross-functionality and Agile core principlesContinuously work to improve team performance and overall organization's Agile maturity.

    Build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be addressed without fearWork closely with Product Owners to ensure clear and effective product backlog managementMonitor team progress, ensuring the team is working towards established goals and adjusting priorities as neededEducationRequiredBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or relevant field, or in lieu of a degree, at least 6 years of experience in software development or project managementPreferredScrum Master certification (e.g.

    CSM, PSM, or SAFe Scrum Master) is required, or in lieu of a certification, at least 2 years of experience as a Scrum MasterKnowledge & Experience3-5 years of experience in software development, IT project management, or a related field2+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or in a similar Agile coaching role is preferredStrong understanding of Agile methodologies and Scrum frameworkExperience working with distributed teams and multi-project environmentsExcellent communication and negotiation skills to resolve conflicts and manage expectationsExperience with Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, Rally)Familiarity with programming, cloud technology, and CI/CD conceptsTechnical SkillsDevOps MethodologySoftware Development Lifecycle (SDLC) MethodologyProject Management MethodologyAgile Planning and Collaboration ToolsProduct Strategy & PlanningModern DeliveryProduct Lifecyle ManagementDemand & Capacity ManagementReporting ToolsThis position is not eligible for sponsorship for work authorization now or in the future, including conversion to H1-B visa.
