    Description

    Job Title: Senior Staff Accountant
    Job Summary:     We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Staff Accountant to join our team. The Senior Staff Accountant will play a critical role in overseeing the financial operations of the organization, providing leadership and guidance to junior accounting staff, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. This position offers an opportunity for professional growth and advancement within our dynamic and rapidly growing company.
    Responsibilities:

    1. Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
    2. General Ledger Management: Oversee the maintenance and reconciliation of general ledger accounts, reviewing entries for accuracy and consistency.
    3. Month-end Close: Lead month-end close processes, including preparation of journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations, and ensure timely and accurate reporting.
    4. Financial Analysis: Conduct detailed financial analysis, identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement, and provide actionable insights to management.
    5. Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development of annual budgets and periodic forecasts, collaborating with department heads to align financial goals with strategic objectives.
    6. Audit and Compliance: Coordinate with internal and external auditors to facilitate audits, provide documentation and support, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
    7. Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in financial processes and systems, develop and implement solutions to streamline operations, enhance controls, and improve accuracy and efficiency.
    8. Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance, training, and support to foster professional growth and development.
    Qualifications:
    • Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA certification preferred.
    • 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, with a focus on financial reporting and analysis.
    • Thorough understanding of GAAP, financial principles, and regulatory requirements.
    • Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
    • Detail-oriented, with a commitment to accuracy and integrity.
    • Proven leadership capabilities, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
