Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent and completion of a Certified Medical Assistant Program required

Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a medical practice or other outpatient facility. Women's healthcare experience preferred

Demonstrated proficiency in all MA skills, including phlebotomy.

Be able to setup for and assist physician in procedures

Resourceful and well organized. Committed to detail and follow-up.

Must be proficient in computer skills, both EMR and Microsoft office required. Keyboard skills 25 wpm required

Excellent interpersonal skills. Must relate well with patients, peers, physicians, and management. Must be genuinely concerned for people, respectful, and be able to use diplomacy and tact in tense situations

Ability to communicate accurately and concisely, written & verbal

Ability to work in a high-standard challenging environment

Must be able to work rotating weekends and some holidays

Fluency is Spanish is very beneficial
