We're searching for a professional with a proven track record in craftsmenship.


SUMMARY
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Custom Product Assembler to join our team.

The essence of the role of the Custom Assembler is to assemble any parts that are too complex to be assembled in our North County, San Diego facilities.

High-performing, creative, and flexible team member who is willing to work with less structure and is willing to change the schedule as needed to execute to the requirements of the business and utilize available equipment resources.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Construct custom timber structures including outdoor furnishings, supports, towers, play huts, and shelters according to design specifications.
  • Execute the construction of customdesigned play structures according to Landrec's unique and creative designs.
  • Ability to interpret and bring to life imaginative and unique designs, contributing ideas to enhance the overall creativity of the projects.
  • Work with various materials, including wood, metals, other specialized materials, ensuring precise cuts and quality craftsmanship.
  • Collaborate with our design and project teams to bring design concepts into reality, providing input on feasibility and construction methods.
  • Ensure the highquality construction of play structures, adhering to safety standards, engineering, and design specifications.
  • Assist in preinstallation of structures, working closely with the installation team to ensure the proper assembly of structures.
  • Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet the required standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments to ensure accurate assembly.
  • Assemble mechanical components and subassemblies according to blueprints and specifications.
  • Identify the defective parts for rework.
  • Package parts to ship and properly label and audit order.
- *Weld small anchorage and ornamental metal structures. Steel, Stainless, and Aluminum. (Not required but preferred).


SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in mechanical assembly or a related field is preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and measure materials accurately.
  • Knowledge and use of hand tools and milling tools. Mechanical familiarity with metalwood fasteners and anchorages.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Familiarity with machining equipment is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Basic computer knowledge and ability to edit and provide notes to technical team.
  • Good manual dexterity and handeye coordination.
  • Knowledge and use of Power Tools.
  • Proven experience as a fabricator, with expertise in working with wood and other construction materials, including but not limited to timber and/or steel fabrication, wood furniture, cabinetry, sculptures, industrial design.
  • Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with a diverse team of designers, project managers, and fellow craftsmen.
  • Ability to adapt to new and challenging projects, demonstrating problemsolving skills.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to industry standards.
  • A background in general construction and carpentry or fixture less manufacturing and fabrication is highly recommended.
  • Certificate in Welding Steel or Aluminum a plus but not required.

REQUIREMENTS:


  • Handson manufacturing experience.
  • Basic mathematical and measuring skills.
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Physical requirements include the following
  • Perform work from a standing, kneeling, and/or squatting position.
  • Climb and/or reach, sit for brief periods of time, Push, pull, lift and carry heavy objects, including braces and objects up to 100 lbs.
  • Maintain balance, listen to, hear, and understand verbal directions.
  • Work outdoors, around dust, in the sun, and in various weather conditions, including hot/cold conditions.
