Departmental Objective

  • The Housing department ensures that studenthousing facilities are well maintained, clean and safe for the students of CNU.
    Purpose of the Position
  • This position will ensure the cleanliness of assigned areas by performing various housekeeping tasks.
    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Related to Position
  • Knowledge of cleaning methods and cleaning supplies
  • Skilled in the use of housekeeping equipment such as vacuum cleaner, buffers, or scrubbing machine
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time, lift and carry objects up to 50 lbs., tolerate frequent bending, stooping, and climbing stairs
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions
  • Ability to communicate effectively and to maintain positive relations with faculty, staff and students
    Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification Required

Experience:
Experience in cleaning methods and cleaning supplies.
Additional Consideration(s)

Education:
High school diploma or equivalent

Experience:
Prior hotel, higher education or similar housekeeping experience. Experience using housekeeping equipment such as vacuum cleaner, buffers or scrubbing machine.
