The Commercial Construction Superintendent will lead and manage the on-site construction team, and oversee all work on site. The Construction Superintendent will be responsible for orderliness on site and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Our client is a diversified real estate firm that specializes in development, design, and construction.The Commercial Construction Superintendent will lead with a team of real estate experts, financial advisors, architects, engineers, and construction professionals.
They deliver solutions by integrating with an ownership team and actively managing projects from concept through completion, assuming 100% responsibility for all phases of each project.
The key responsibilities of a Commercial Construction Superintendent are:Ensuring quality standards are met.
Placing orders for materials, and being responsible for equipment and materials on site.
Following the project time line to ensure deadlines are met.
Monitoring and ensuring on-site safety compliance, cleanliness and orderliness.
Maintaining records for site personnel such as daily field reports, field orders and RFIs.
Liaising with inspection authorities regarding approvals.
The successful candidate for a Commercial Construction Superintendent has:
~5+ years of experience with a commercial contractor or equivalent industry experience
~ Demonstrated leadership ability of project teams with successful outcomes
~ In depth knowledge of the construction process including scheduling, contract administration, equipment, and manpower
~ Proficient in basic use and functions of a personal computer
