ResponsibilitiesKforce has a client that is seeking an Accounting Manager in Bethesda, MD
Key Tasks:
Accounting Manager will manage/coordinate the month-end close process
Assist in the preparation of the financial statements, including budgets & forecasts
Prepare and record monthly journal entries and completes monthly balance sheet account reconciliations
Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) for financial statement preparation and audit purposes
Assist in maintaining all accounting files and records for multiple Companies/Subsidiaries
As an Accounting Manager, you will monitor monthly inventory transactions for accuracy and appropriateness and report on operating variances from established standards for material, labor, and overhead
Responsible to ensure proper delegation of duties and internal control exist within the Accounting & Finance Dept
Manage the Fixed Asset Accounting System (SAGE/FAS); Maintain and implement required internal controls to safeguard the company's fixed assets; Coordinate the Capital Expenditure Authorization procedure
Maintain General Ledger Chart of Accounts
Manage the year-end closing process; Assist in the planning of the annual physical inventory, calculate the physical to book adjustment and coordinate the year-end audit with the outside accounting firm
Requirements
Bachelor's degree or higher required, preferably in Accounting or Finance
5+ years of accrual basis accounting experience required
3+ years of supervisory experience
Experience with large-scale ERP systems, Oracle preferred
Public accounting experience and/or a CPA license a plus
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role.
Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs.
This range may be modified in the future.We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.

Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable.
The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.
