If you're a compassionate Registered Nurse with a passion for pediatric care, we have an exciting opportunity for you at our Malvern Surgery Center Join our team where we prioritize exceptional patient care and offer a nurturing environment for our team.

The RN provides both Pre-Op, OR, and PACU nursing care to patients in our pediatric ambulatory surgical center.

You will be responsible for providing and supervising direct and indirect total nursing care responsibilities to our young patients utilizing the nursing process (assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating) in achieving the goals of the surgery center.


Hours:
Shifts will vary between OR 6:30am - 3:00pm and PACU 7:30 - 4:00pm


Location: 596 Lancaster Ave, Suite 300, Malvern, PA 19355


What You Will Do:


  • Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and accurately document nursing care for the preoperative
  • Coordinate all aspects of nursing care with preoperative team to achieve defined patient outcomes
  • Works closely with the surgeons and the anesthesia care providers to guide the child safely through the postoperative period
  • Provide nursing care patients in post op, continuously monitoring and assessing patients during their stay
  • Assisting patients recovering from anesthesia
  • Assessing the patient's health status and previous medical history
  • Provide appropriate education to the patient?s family regarding their individualized plan of care for at home recovery

What You Will Need:


  • Graduate of accredited School of Nursing
  • At least one year of experience as an RN preferred
  • Previous experience working in a pediatric or ambulatory surgery setting a plus
  • Ability to obtain ACLS/ PALS within 6 months of start date
  • BLS
  • Current State RN License
